              PRAANA ALLERGY ASTHMA CAMPS FIRST PRAANA CHARITABLE CAMP:  MUMBAI     NOVEMBER 16th 2021 The FIRST PRAANA charitable Asthma Allergy Awareness Camp was conducted on November 16th 2021 by Dr. Sunita Shukla , ENT Allergy Asthma Specialist  of Mumbai Allergy Center on her Birthday. She was assisted by her staff as well as Dr. Sita Shivaram, a retired Microbiologist  a willing and dedicated volunteer. Following is the report from Dr Shukla. On behalf of the PRAANA initiative, we thank Dr Shukla, her staff and Dr. Sita for the wonderful work and service provided to the needy. Mumbai Allergy Centre in association with   PRAANA Charitable Allergy Asthma Clinic (PCAAC), USA conducted its world's first free allergy camp for creating awareness & education on  MAC Allergy Day. Welcome to the homepage of PCAACs (Praana Charitable Allergy Asthma Clinic).   Introduction:    PRAANA is a Sanskrit word and it means 'BREATHE FOR LIFE'.  Hence this is a 'BREATHING CLINIC' and it is a charitable/subsidized undertaking of International Asthma Services (IAS)  (www.globalchestinitiatives.org), a 501 c-3 registered charity in the state of Colorado, U S A.  The founder and architect of Praana Charitable Allergy Asthma Clincs (PCAACs) is Dr Pudupakkam K Vedanthan (PK), a Board certified Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAI) specialist settled in Fort Collins, Colorado USA.   History:  Dr PK has been formulating the  concept of a PCAAC for several decades. The main hurdle was the lack of basic infrastructure and qualified specialists in the field of allergy and asthma.  This issue has been addressed successfully in the past 15 years with the advent of training programs and post graduate diploma courses at Christian Medical College, Vellore and more recently
